These meditative artists books are a return to a more polished sketchbook practice. Each book begins with inks on paper, a somewhat uncontrollable process. Each sheet is cut down to create a longer accordion which is then housed in bespoke covers. The inks inspire a series of ‘doodles’ that regain a type of control over the controlled ink process.
Each book in the collection is 3” x 4”, and is created using alcohol inks on mohawk 100lb superfine smooth paper. The covers are made with book board and linen or cotton book cloth. The ‘title’ is a piece of the interior paper and mica. Interior doodles with pen and gouache.
